Jio Financial Services Makes Big Bang Entry with 6 Back-to-Back Launches in Financial Sector
Reliance Group’s subsidiary, Jio Financial Services (JFS), has made a strong entry into India’s fintech space. In recent weeks, the company has launched six major financial services covering investment advisory, mutual funds, stock broking, payments banking, digital gold, and insurance/lending.
On June 10, 2025, Jio received SEBI’s approval to operate as a registered investment advisor. Under the name ‘Jio BlackRock Investment Advisors,’ this service will offer AI-driven and insight-based financial guidance to retail investors.
In May 2025, SEBI granted approval to Jio BlackRock Mutual Fund. The company launched three new debt schemes aimed at low-risk, short-term investors.
On June 25, 2025, Jio secured SEBI registration as a stockbroker and clearing member. This paved the way for the launch of ‘Jio BlackRock Broking’ — a direct trading platform for self-directed investors.
Jio completed the full acquisition of Jio Payments Bank Limited on June 4, followed by a capital infusion on June 25. The bank is now positioned as the transactional and operational backbone of JFS’s financial ecosystem.
Through the Jio Finance App, users can now invest in digital gold starting from as little as ₹10. This feature is already live and aims to make gold investment more inclusive and accessible.
The same app also provides instant loans and insurance services. With UPI payments and digital banking included, Jio Finance is evolving into a one-stop solution for financial needs.
This aggressive expansion clearly indicates that Jio is transforming beyond telecom into one of India’s most powerful and integrated fintech players.
